MEET
DR. RICHARD HALPERN
After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Rich undertook two more years of a pediatric-dentistry focused general practice residency, followed by a Master’s Degree of Science Degree in Anatomical Sciences & Neurobiology and worked as a dentist at different fly-in aboriginal reservations in Northern Manitoba, before completing his National Dental Specialty Examinations in 2014 and Dental Specialty degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics!

Why choose a Specialist in Orthodontics?
In addition to completing four years of dental school, a Specialist in Orthodontics has also completed an additional accredited Orthodontic Residency Program for an additional 3 years full-time with 4000+ hours of specialty training, specifically in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics where they learn the skills required to manage tooth movement (orthodontics) and to guide facial development (dentofacial orthopedics). Furthermore, to gain a license as a Specialist in Orthodontics they must meet the highest level of qualifications, including the successful completion of the National Dental Specialty Examinations administered by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Children, teens and adults are all welcome! Whether it’s Early treatment, Palatal expansion, Modern metal braces, Invisalign aligners, Clear ceramic braces, retainers or more, at Chinook Ortho we have just the right solution for your particular needs.

My grown-up teeth are coming in crooked behind my baby teeth. Is that normal? My parents want to know if we need to do something now or if it is better to wait until I have all my grown-up teeth?

I’m self-conscious about my teeth. I cover them when I smile. I want to straighten my teeth but don’t want to wear metal braces. Are there other options?

I never got to have braces when I was younger. Is it too late now? Is there something we can do that’s not so obvious at my age? What are the options?

What Will My First Visit To The Orthodontist Be All About?
Come in for your first visit and let’s have a chat!

Come meet us and tell us what you want to improve.

You’ll have some digital photos and X-rays taken if needed to determine what treatments (if any) would work for you.

You’ll get to hear what options are available for you and when the right time is to start treatment. If you’re ready for treatment you can get your braces or Invisalign journey started on the same day!
