Your First Visit

DURING YOUR FIRST CONSULTATION, WE WILL

  • Gain an understanding of your particular orthodontic concerns
  • Review your dental and medical history forms
  • Complete a comprehensive examination with digital photos and digital Panoramic and cephalometric X-rays if needed.  Dr. Richard Halpern (Dr. Rich) will take time to explain his findings, discuss treatment, and provide you with an estimate of the treatment timing
  • Work together to develop a personalized treatment plan to develop your smile
  • Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
  • Our Chinook Ortho Team will be glad to answer any questions that you may have and take the time to provide you with all the information you need to determine which treatment is right for you

At Chinook Ortho, we believe that your first orthodontic visit is your most important one.

The first visit to a doctor’s office can sometimes feel intimidating, especially for kids. But, your first visit to Chinook Ortho will be completely painless.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING YOUR FIRST CONSULTATION

Our team will welcome you, introduce you to Specialist in Orthodontics, Dr. Rich, and show you around our office.

Our highly-trained, orthodontic treatment coordinator will then take some pictures of your teeth, bite and face.  If necessary, we’ll take a panoramic and cephalometric X-ray  to determine what treatments, if any, would work best for you.  These images are the best way for us to see your teeth, jaws, and facial soft tissue.

At this one-hour appointment, you’ll learn everything you need to know about transforming your smile at Chinook Ortho.  This is your chance to learn more about orthodontics, meet the doctor and team, and find out which treatment options fit your needs, budget, and lifestyle.

CREATING YOUR PERSONALIZED TREATMENT PLAN

After reviewing these records, Dr. Rich will join you in a consultation room  where he will point out specific areas of concern while answering any of your questions.  He’s pretty conservative in his treatment approach and if he doesn’t think you require treatment, or the right time for treatment has arrived he’ll let you know.

If Dr. Rich does recommend Orthodontic treatment, he will go on to discuss your personalized treatment plan and show you what kind of corrections you can expect.  We will take as much time as needed to answer your questions to assist you in deciding what kind of treatment is best for you.  We will then walk you through the whole treatment process and explain everything from scheduling to finances and payment options.

Our goal is to make sure that no question goes unanswered.

SAME DAY BRACES

The orthodontic treatment process involves a series of orthodontic visits.  We value the relationship that we will build with you and your family throughout the process.

You should be confident that you’re receiving the best orthodontic care possible.  We value your time, and we know you’re likely excited to get started on your journey to your brightest smile and want to make the most of your visit.  Once you feel like we’ve answered all of your questions and addressed any concerns, and if Dr. Rich prescribes them, you can start your treatment that same day.
